My journey into the world of floristry is rooted in the belief that flowers possess a transformative power; they are not just fleeting decorations but vital, vibrant expressions of nature that resonate deeply with our emotions and senses.
Being around flowers is my sanctuary—their ability to instantly uplift a room's ambiance or bring a smile to someone's face reinforces my belief in the deep, innate connection we share with nature. Each bloom we choose, with its unique colours and patterns, reflect a whisper of our inner thoughts and feelings, offering a glimpse into our minds.
Rachel’s Flowers is named after my beloved cat, Rachel, whose presence has given my life with so much sweetness and joy. Much like the moments I cherish with her, I wanted this flower workshop to capture the essence of fleeting yet favourite moments—those small, precious interactions with our loved ones. This space is not just about floral arrangement; it’s about creating lasting memories and cherished interactions, weaving the peace and beauty of flowers into our everyday life.
My mission is to foster an environment where love and connection for not only for our families and friends, but humans as a whole, can take the front seat in making forever memories.
With a great appreciation for flowers, I have founded a workshop that goes beyond traditional floristry. The vision is a space where generations can come together not only to admire and arrange flowers, but to rediscover and strengthen human connection, often left on the back burner in the hustle of daily life.
Drawing from my own experiences in an Asian family, where emotional expression was often muted, this workshop aims to nurture not only creativity but also communication and understanding. In these workshops, among the beauty of blossoms, friends and families are encouraged to explore the language of flowers together, learning and growing in unison.
This venture is deeply personal and fueled by a mission to provide a peaceful retreat that fosters connections and captures the heartfelt joy that only nature's own beauty can inspire.
