Workshops
Throughout history, flowers have held a special place in human connection and expression. As early as ancient Egypt, people viewed flower arrangements as sacred, believing that different flowers carried unique meaning. In Japanese culture, the tradition of Ikebana—which means 'making flowers come alive'—emerged in the 6th century as one of the three Japanese classical arts of refinement, which focused on creating a peaceful balance between nature and the human touch.
This mindful practice serves as a reminder of how flowers have long been a source of tranquillity and beauty, encouraging us to pause and appreciate the present.
Today, science shows us what people have always felt: flowers can genuinely lift our mood, reduce stress, and create stronger social bonds.
This aligns seamlessly with the primary mission of our workshops which is to bring people together in a comfortable environment where families and friends can communicate, make something beautiful to take home, and continue fostering meaningful connections long after the workshop has concluded.
To give you an idea of how our workshops are done, they will follow along the lines of:
Arrival, meet and greet with myself and others
Discussion on what we’ll be making with some examples
Explanation on some best practices (don’t let this hold you back from doing whatever you want! The time that is spent together is more important than how beautiful your arrangement looks)
Your turn to start making your arrangement to bring home
Our workshops are designed to be more than a creative activity; they offer a peaceful space to unwind, connect loved ones, and enjoy the simple beauty of flowers. You’ll leave not only with a personalised arrangement but also with meaningful memories and a sense of shared connection. We look forward to welcoming you into this mindful experience.
